Smelly Cat’s story is one of incredible resilience and unwavering spirit. Found in a dumpster with a shattered leg from a gunshot wound, her will to survive was nothing short of remarkable. When we saw the call for help, we knew we had to step in. At the time, the cause of her injury was unknown, but X-rays revealed the heartbreaking truth—she had been shot and cruelly discarded.

After her amputation and during her recovery, Smelly Cat’s sweet and loving personality began to shine. Our other cats welcomed her with open paws, and she quickly slotted right into her new family. Originally, we hadn’t planned on keeping her, but her larger-than-life personality and boundless affection made it impossible to let her go.

Now a happy and thriving tripod kitty, Smelly Cat LOVES to sit on everyone’s lap, bounding around the house with joy or relaxing in one of her favorite kitty perches. Her courage and zest for life inspire us daily, and we are so honored to give her the second chance she so deeply deserved.
